League Champion
The playoff winner will be the League champion and will hold the League Champion title for one year.

Teams shall be seeded No. 1 through No. 6 based on the final regular season standings, using the league’s approved standings and tiebreaker procedures.
The playoffs shall consist of three rounds of single-elimination games: Round One, Round Two, and the Championship Game.
Round One
The No. 1 seed and No. 2 seed shall receive a first-round bye and automatically advance to Round Two.
The Round One matchups shall be:

No. 4 seed vs. No. 5 seed
The winners of these two games shall advance to Round Two.
Round Two, Semifinals
After Round One, the Round Two matchups shall be determined based on the original playoff seedings of the remaining teams.
The No. 1 seed shall play the lowest-seeded remaining team.
The No. 2 seed shall play the other remaining Round One winner.
Original playoff seeds shall remain unchanged throughout the playoffs and shall be used to determine home-team designation unless otherwise determined by the league.
Championship Game
The Championship Game shall be a single-elimination game between the two Round Two winners.
The winner of the Championship Game shall be declared the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League Champion.
Home Team
Unless otherwise determined by the league, the higher-seeded team shall be the home team in each playoff game.
Tie-Breaker
- The first tie-breaker for playoff positions will be the most points during the season.
- The second tie-breaker will be a head-to-head record.
- The third tie-breaker will be total runs against each other.
If all three metrics are tied. The tiebreaker is determined by whoever had the better record against the closest playoff seed.
For example, if there’s a tie for the fourth playoff spot and all three metrics are tied, the tiebreaker is broken by whoever had the best record against the third seed.
If there’s a tie for the two seed, it’s broken by whoever had the best record against the one seed.
And if there is a tie for the one seed, it’s broken by whoever had the best record against the third seed.
In the event of a tie between more than two teams for a playoff spot, the playoff positions will be determined by these metrics.
- The first tie-breaker will be decided by the team with the most wins during the season.
- The second tie-breaker will be a combined head-to-head record against the other teams vying for the spot.
- The third tie-breaker will be the total runs combined against the other teams vying for the spot.
If there is still a tie after those three metrics it is broken by whoever had the best record against the next closest team in the standings.
For example, if there’s a three-way tie for the top seed, it’s broken by whoever had the best record against the fourth seed.
And if there is a three-way tie for the second seed, it’s broken by whoever had the best record against the top seed.
