Player Host Family Placement

The housing team puts a tremendous amount of effort into coordinating cars, jobs, reporting time to be at the field, allergies, and many other factors when placing a player with a family. Host families can make suggestions and requests, but HCBL can not guarantee a family a specific player.

Here is important information to keep in mind when families decide to take a player for the season:

• Families need to realize that they are signing on to take a baseball player from June until the end of July.
• We will have approximately 25 contracted players and a head coach by the beginning of June. Therefore, we may need up to 26 host families.
• Families must be willing to take whatever player we choose to place with a family.
• Families should be available to take their player on June 1st.
• If host families have a vacation planned, they must let the team’s housing coordinator know so that we can make the proper arrangements to have the player live with another family during this time.
• Offer host families the option to house a player on a  temporary basis.

Report Date

Players and coaches will report around June 11, 2024, with practices scheduled for the day after arrival.
