Game Conduct
The official NCAA rules shall govern all games, except that the MLB mound visit rule will be utilized.
The HCBL opposes violence in every manner. The HCBL aims to develop players, not injure them. The throwing of bean balls, deliberate spiking, intentional collisions, and other similar actions must be referred to the Executive Committee for action. Any player who, in the umpire’s judgment, willfully inflicts injury on an opponent or demonstrates intent to do so will automatically be ejected from the game and may face suspension by the Executive Committee. In addition to immediate ejection from the game, such action may include suspension or expulsion from the HCBL.
Dugout Rule:
Only the following persons are allowed in the dugout once a game has started: rostered and disabled players (all players must be in uniform), coaching staff, managers, trainers, scorers, and bat boys. Only official team personnel may participate in pre-game workouts, and all team personnel must be uniform.
Slide Rule:
Avoidable stand-up collisions are barred. If a collision occurs, which the umpire decides could have been avoided, the runner is automatically out. If a collision occurs, which the umpire decides was a flagrant rule violation, the player will be ejected.
