Bat Boy/Girl Responsibilities

The Bat Boy/Bat Girl is an integral part of game day operations. They ensure that all players’ on-field needs are met so everyone can play their best and give our fans a great show!

As a Bat Boy/Bat Girl you will get to meet and talk with the players and coaches; learn inside tips on what “pro ball’ is all about and see each and every play from on the field.

This job is not for everyone – the Bat Boy/Bat Girl position requires stamina and a positive attitude. Every day is a unique experience with tight timelines, so Bat Boys/Girls must be intelligent, dependable, alert, and flexible. Bat Boys/Girls may see and hear things from adult players that may be inappropriate for children. Prospective applicants and their parents must be aware that these things occur and should consider this before applying.

Duties Include

  • Stock home and visitors’ dugouts with water jugs and cups
  • Clean out and sweep the home and visitor dugouts after every game
  • Any other task that the Clubhouse Manager may assign
  • Time commitment of 2 – 3 hrs on game days. For a 5:00 pm start, the start time is 4:00 pm with a finish time of roughly 30 minutes following the game.

Requirements

  • Boys and girls 10 years or older by May 30th
  • Permitted to work 3 or more hours and games that last past 7pm
  • Parents must sign a Personal Injury Waiver Form.
