Verbal Abuse (Bench Jockeying) Rulings

Any individual assoiated with a team using language that refers to or reflects negatively at opposing players, coaches, umpires or spectators including coordinated actions used to distract, intimidate, or unnerve the opposing team or show poor sportsmanship by dugout personnel will be subject to the following:

NCAA Rule 5-17

Penalties:

1. First offense, give a warning.
2. Second offense, ejection.
3. Third offense, the head coach is ejected with the offenders.
